Gartan Mother's Lullaby

from Grapevine by Andrew Calhoun

/

about

by Irish poet Seosamh MacCathmhaoil (Joseph Campbell) was set to a Donegal tune and published in Songs of Uladh in 1904; ""Aoibheall" and Siabra" are fairies. The lyric should sing, "Tearman's peasant voices swell," rather than "rise" as I sang here.
